Shock Absorbers

Post by Pauly10 »

Hi
Does anyone know how I can check the front and rear shock absorbers on my 1929 Clifton Tourer are working correctly. The car drives as if the shocks are not working as they should.

Take one end off and physically try them. They should be easier in one direction so that the rebound is less than the other. They have been installed upside down if the wing nut is on top. New linings are available from the club.

Forgot to mention the obvious. There should be two rings showing on the other end of the wingnut screw. They should be filled with grease. (circulated with an internal paddle)
