I’ve finally put my new front tyres on the Austin Burnham 12/4 1929. The fronts have were set at 35psi by the garage so I’ve set the rears also at this as they were all over the place. but she seems to wandering a little on the road, does it pay to drop the rears slightly. What are the recommended pressures please. Thanks

Pressure would have been set to allow for any air trapped between tube and tyre to escape and not end up with a flat tyre. From the handbook you should use 26lbs for front and 36lbs for rear unless fully laden when this should be increased to 42lbs.

I have a '32 12/4 Tickford and use 30psi front, 38 rear which works for us. 42 at the back if heavily loaded.
