Just wanted to say thank you to Tony Smallbone and all involved with the VAR National Rally last Sunday. What a super day this was. As a non car owning member - but one with an ambition to one day own a vintage Austin - I found the willingness of club members to share their knowledge, skills and experience of the cars on show along with their boundless enthusiasm absolutely fantastic and invaluable. A brilliant day. Thank you.

Yes, really great event.

Our first event, both with the VAR, and with our first vintage car and an really enjoyable day.
Everyone was friendly and welcoming, interested in the car, and keen to show their own cars to use.
One member met up halfway through our 100 mile drive down from the wirral and conveyed the second half.
On the way back, they did the same, and had an hour chat over a drink as we split to complete the home run.

Whole thing flew by and we were left wanting more. When is the next event...?
