Hello,
I joined the club a couple days ago, having been looking at cars for the last few months.
From what we have seen so far I think we are leading towards a late 20's Heavy 12/4 Clifton Tourer or similar, but also don't really have a great handle on how the open top cars compare to the Saloons on the road (im told 38mph is about top cruising speed?) nor how a 16/6 compares other than having a ball based synchro box rather than the nice gate box.
There is a nice Green Tourer on Robin Lawtons site currently, but it's 1924 and appear to have just missed out on having front brakes, which he and other things I have read suggests are worth having for your first vintage car. Been for a ride in an ex-wedding H12/4 Saloon, and been to see a 1919 20/4 (bit above budget) but somewhat limited with covid as well/
Generally, any thoughts and or pointers welcome please...
Daniel

Hello
I joined back in February of this year not sure how or if I need to tell you about my car so thought I might try through hear. It is a 1935 Austin Light Twelve / Four Tourer registration ARU462.

Are you a new member introducing yourself Derek, or is the car for sale?
