Seen on eBay

Post by Jboy964 »

I’m curious to know more about this car for sale with a dealer on eBay. Is it a known car?

A few observations, not in the VAR membership list.
The door cards look a bit .... and where is the Windshield wiper.
The rear view mirrors don't match.
But that's not what you asked, does anyone know the car?

It last appeared in the 2014 members list at an address in Kent, so yes, it is (or was) known to the VAR.

I looked at the last member's details and unable to tell if it is a conversion or original body. The door cards and running boards look vile.
Wonder who made the body?

It was described as 2-seater and dickey in the 1997 list. My guess would be a non-Austin coachbuilt body probably from new but of course I could be well wide of the mark. I totally agree on the door cards and running boards. The headlamp wiring needs sorting out too and the brightwork needs to be replated. All this said it could still be made into a nice car (IMHO).

Is it a Mulliner body?
