16/6 front engine casting wanted

Post by Humphrey47 »

Just about to hoist the engine into the chassis when I noticed a crack on the front support where it goes through the chassis. I need a replacement. Anyone got one? I have a spare crank, block, case and main bearings (undersize) can also re-metal Babbitt with 16/6 tooling.

Hi, I just saw your April posting. I am looking for a cylinder head for my 1932 16/6. being a 16/6 man I ask.....do you have a head or know of one at all? I am now desperate as all 'repairs' to my head have failed.....Thank you. Bob Archer 07801573192.

The early ones have an aluminium crank case with a separate block. The head is different for later 16/6. Try an enquiry on the Facebook Austin 10 owners group. There was a pile of 16/6 stuff last year.
