Help to identify this one...

Post by Mklintott »

Friend of mine asked me if I could identify the car in the enclosed picture. It shows his father and grandparents off for a grand day out about 1930-35

First glance I thought it might be an Austin 7 with a special body but I'm no expert on this at all.

Anyone any ideas...?

Thanks in advance

Triumph Super Seven.

These were built 1927 - 1932, the early ones being on 3 stud artillery wheels, yours is on the slightly later 3 stud wire wheels but still has the early shaped mudguards. I would guess 1930?

Hi,

My guess is that this is either a Triumph Nine or a Standard Nine.
No Austin Seven ever built had the bonnet and radiator shown in that picture.
