Re: Wheel painting

I sent my wheels to be shotblasted and stove enamelled. The company had 2 attempted to do it and returned the wheels in most unacceptable condition. I decided to paint them myself, rubbed them down with varying grades of wet and dry, applied a coat of red lead, again rubbing down and then 2/3 coats ...

Re: Brake plungers

Thank you Rob, most helpful.I think I can do this but will wait until next winter when I have more time.I have just relined the brakes, fitted new cables and will need to re-bush the brake pin holders at some time as there is wear. They have lasted 92 years so not bad.

Awini
Well done! Not many of us (if any) have our cars featured on a postage stamp. She looks lovely especially with the spot light and warning bell on the nearside running board.Have you found another one to restore?

Tyres

Has anybody a view on tyres?
The rear ones on my '27 12/4 will need replacing soon. They are Dunlop 21 inch and new ones,if available cost more than an arm and a leg.I fitted Waymasters to my Riley, they are OK but only 4 ply.
