Pressure would have been set to allow for any air trapped between tube and tyre to escape and not end up with a flat tyre. From the handbook you should use 26lbs for front and 36lbs for rear unless fully laden when this should be increased to 42lbs.

As far as I can gather the level has to be kept below the filler level plug by about 1/2" to 1" to prevent oil getting into the drums. The gearbox similarly should be about 1" below the level tap/plug. No capacity given for diff as it was originally filled with oil/grease mix!!

Should not cost a fortune to repair and sell as a runner which will give you a better return. Not sure if Tom Titterton will have a head but will certainly be able to help with gasket and other hardware you may need as well as technical advice should you need it.
