Hi All, I hoping someone can help me on this one. I'm trying to locate a starter motor for my 1926 Austin 12/4 heavy car. Who were the manufacturers of the starter motors for these cars. Lucus, CAV or other?

Flywheel "cone nut" bush
The bushes for the flywheel cone nuts have seen better days. I would like to replace them but it seems they are unavailable. I was thinking of using shim material as a replacement. Can anyone give me guidance on whether this is a good idea or should I try to machine new bushes?

Austin 12/4 model identification
Hi,
I'm seeking guidance on how to identify which year my Austin 12/4 was manufactured in. I inherited the vehicle from my father who identified it as a 1927 model but I have conflicting information that it may be a 1926 model also where would I find the chassis and body number on the vehicle.
