Hello Replacing the clutch was the answer,although the old one was not worn out it had become impregnated with oil over the years and no amount of brake cleaner was going to remove it. I know in the hand book it says to burn it off with petrol but I didn’t fancy that lol !! Thanks for everyones inpu...

Hello Bayliss Thanks for your reply I’ve owned the car for 3 years and the gearchange has become increasingly worse My early memories are of notchy changes but I put that down to my inexperience of a crash box I’ve changed the oil as advised with straight 40 I’ve made various adjustments on the sele...

Hello Can I ask for advice please on my Burnham 16/6 1932 I find it difficult to select gears without “crunching “ but not always Tick over is as low as possible Changed gearbox oil Just moving and double de clutching 1- 2 2 - 3 rd etc I am able to select all gears freely with the engine turned off ...

Burnham 1932 rear arm rest

Can anyone tell me if the rear armrests were originally adjustable ?
The rear end of the rest has a loop did it originally have a strap attached ?

Austin 16/6 Burnham 1932 Clutch

Hello Excuse me if I have got this wrong ! My first time on the forum I’m looking for advice on clutch adjustment (I think it is fully adjusted) Or if I have to replace the clutch anything I should look out for ? Will I require any special tools? I have a copy of the 12/4 DVD hopefully it is similar...
