Re: LED lights
There are now a number of dealers who specialise in supplying LED bulbs for vintage vehicles. You need to do a lot of research as it can cost you a lot of money if you are not careful. I think it is worth doing as it takes a strain off the battery and dynamo and also means you can be seen in the mod...

Re: A12/4 Engine oil
A lot of thoughts there and I was probably thinking about the detergent oils which loosened any debris in the engine and mixed in with the oil, which then became detrimental to the engine. So the ideal is a straight oil with zinc in it, would that be mentioned on the side of the can and called Zinc?...

A12/4 Engine oil
What are the oils that can now be purchased and used on a 1929 A12/4?
As in the old days the new muligrades were not suitable as they would attack the Bronze and white metal bearings?
We now have synthetic oils do these still attack metals?
Thanks
Paul

Another suggestion was to use a Dremel and using the very thin grinding discs and the job is now done. You just need a steady hand.

Cleaning up the threads in the F/R 12/4 hubs AM221/AO61.
Is there any easy way to clean up the very fine threads that the hub caps(AM25/AO62) screw into.
Have tried using a scriber, unsuccessfully.
I am not sure what the size/thread is and would there be a tap to fit it?
Cheers

Hi Martin
Thanks for that I have now looked thro the handbook rather than checking on the index and found it.
I enclose a copy of it.
Cheers
