Regarding oils for your car, opinions differ from person to person, but speaking for myself the oils I use are as follows. Engine, I use morrises low detergent 20/50 and change it yearly, if you have just bought the car I would change all the oils straight away unless you know the service history ...

Sounds like there has been a few problems in the past, best advice would be to source a replacement axle and make one good one out of the two. Problems with the hubs arise because people don’t realise the hub nut has to be done up very tightly to work and consequently leave them loose, hence the w ...

Check on the valves to see whether or not you are in the ballpark for TDC on No.1 cylinder. Have you got the plug leads on the magneto in the correct direction of rotation?

It looks like it’s missing the locking tab washers on the prop yoke nuts, make sure everything is tight. Also check For play in the the blocks at the diff end.

Yup, they need to be tight or the halfshafts and hubs are ruined! I’ve had to replace mine due to people in the past not knowing how it all works.

Wanted narrow track rear axle.
Narrow track rear axle required for 1923 12/4. Or narrow track halfshafts and hubs. Damaged possibly many years ago by hub nuts not being tightened. Any leads gratefully received. Many thanks Gary. 01562 883828
